The BC First Nations Forestry Council looks forward to hosting the 2024 BC First Nations Forestry Conference on the traditional territories of the Syilx Okanagan people. We are humbled to be guests on the lands that they have been the caretakers and stewards of since time immemorial. From the nsyilxcən word snpintktn, the name Penticton has been commonly translated as “a place to stay forever,” but more accurately means “a place where people have always been all year long,” or “The Always Place”.
