From then to now: the history of the Penticton Trade and Conference Centre

See some of the highlights and milestones of the PTCC, from the centre’s inception to what it is now.

1965

The original version of the PTCC opens as the Peach Bowl Convention Centre.

1987

In September, the City of Penticton expands and upgrades the Centre, adding the south lobby and meeting rooms 5, 6, 7, and 8.

2004 & 2005

The City of Penticton updates the Centre. Highlights include the north washrooms, air walls, and the removal of flooring tile.

2007

Global Spectrum Facility Management takes over the operation and management of the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

2021

The City of Penticton and Travel Penticton takes bold and necessary steps to increase Penticton’s market share of conventions, putting Penticton on the map.

Meet In Penticton is created to help boost local tourism marketing.

2024

The Four Points by Sheraton Penticton officially opens at the Convention Centre.
