DESCRIPTION:The Provincial Mine Rescue & First Aid Competition has been held annually since the 1950s. It brings together mine rescue teams from across British Columbia to test their emergency response and rescue abilities in either surface or underground competitions in a one-day event open to the public. \n\n\n\nThe competition enables B.C. mines to maintain consistent standards of training and procedures so that they can provide mutual aid to one another in the event of an emergency.  The Mine Rescue & First Aid Competition tests teams knowledge of the Western Canada Mine Rescue Manual in three main categories: three person first aid\, surface mine rescue and underground mine rescue.

DESCRIPTION:Ronin Safety and Rescue\, and partners\, will be hosting a 4-day True North Rescue Challange in and around Penticton\, British Columbia\, Canada\, from September 23-26.  \n\n\n\nThe goal of the event is for teams to learn from each other and test themselves against a multitude of rope rescue scenarios from different disciplines; disciplines such as Wilderness\, Industrial\, Confined Space\, Rope Access\, etc. \n\n\n\nRonin Safety & Rescue acknowledges that our event in Penticton takes place on the traditional\, ancestral\, and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People\, specifically within the homelands of the Penticton Indian Band (also known in Nsyilxcən as snpintktn/Penticton).
