DESCRIPTION:2025 Local Government By-Election Voting DaySaturday\, August 23\, 20258:00 am – 8:00 pmPenticton Trade and Convention Centre273 Power Street \n\n\n\nThere is no need to pre-register to vote as the City of Penticton will be using the Provincial Voters List\, updated in January 2025.  If you are not on the list\, you will be able to register at the time of voting. Resident electors must produce two (2) pieces of identification (at least one with a signature). Picture identification is not necessary. The identification must prove both residency and identity. \n\n\n\nNon-resident property electors must produce two (2) pieces of identification (at least one with a signature) to prove identity\, proof that they are entitled to register in relation to the property (ownership)\, and\, if there is more than one owner of the property\, written consent from the majority of the property owners. \n\n\n\nAt the time of voting you will be required to make a declaration that you meet the following qualification requirements: \n\n\n\n\n18 years of age or older on general voting day (August 23\, 2025)\n\n\n\nCanadian citizen\n\n\n\nResident of BC for at least 6 months immediately preceding the day of registration\n\n\n\nCurrent resident of Penticton\, OR registered owner of real property in the City of Penticton for at least 30 days immediately preceding the day of registration\, and not disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or otherwise disqualified by law.
